Day 4

 Yesterday was a very interesting day for the proctor doctors. We woke up with the intentions to attack the day with some lunch dodgeball followed by some activity that night. After a bit of discussing lunch dodgeball we realized the reoccurring theme that kids would not be able to attend because they would be eating lunch and were unlikely to get enough people for two teams. Followed by this discussion we realized our senior project just isn't going to work with our schedules since our free time is when the rest of the school is free and our busy time for sports, play practice, etc keep falling on prime times to put on event. We then considered raking in hours on the weekends but that too would be tough. After talking to Kelly Alicia and Gabrielle we decided we would switch up our project to be Alicias interns as we were nervous we would not get all our hours due to the restricted time in our schedules to actually put on successful events. Since it was a switch up day we did not do much in terms of senior project I spend most of my day working on my capstone which I will include in a picture. Id say it took us an hour and a half in total with all the conversations to make this switch possible.

Week 2 reflection

  Our second week of senior project went a lot smoother than the first. After teaming up with Alicia our group has been off and running. I will say working with Alicia has worked well for me especially for trying to multitask between senior projects and my capstone project. I have had tremendous hours of work on this capstone project and a large part of me wishes I had just made that my senior project but it is okay because I am getting through it and getting both where they need to be. Alicia has been very helpful though in the sense that she understands there are times I will be free and times I won’t and she makes an effort to figure out when those times are rather than just saying I need you here now, with the assumption that I have nothing better to do. On top of that our project has turned out to be quite enjoyable as well as beneficial. Final reflection

  All things considered, I have to say senior project was successful. I wish I could say it was a relaxing fun week but honestly it was a stressful grind for me trying to log hours for senior project while juggling my capstone project. This is now my fifth paper written in the last thirty six hours with a total page tally of 18 if you count these three. I do not mean to sound negative when writing this though. I was able to learn a lot from the experience both from admissions and from my capstone. And to add from that I learned how difficult being an event coordinator can be especially at proctor.  Welp, we finished our first week of senior project. It was a roller coaster ride for us as what we anticipated when signing up for this project was not what it boiled down to be. Day Number 2

 Yesterday for me was a little more capstone heavy with work rather than event coordinating. I arrived to School and began working on my capstone up until 10. They had begun the meeting at 9:30 but I wanted to finish up my other work so I lagged a bit. We spent this time coming up with rules and things to consider for the games we came up with yesterday. This was with hopes to make the games flow smoother. Then after lunch we met again from 12-2:30 where mitchell has been working to create a website where we can track all the work we are doing. We have ideas to track batting average if we do wiffleball or kickball and to have teams records accessible and fun stuff of that nature all up for people to view. We hope in doing this it will make people a little more interested in the project rather than just feeling like they are showing up to play kickball on a Tuesday afternoon.
